Our Managing director, Mr. Vimal Shah has always believed in silent charity and has been practicing it in his hometown Bhavnagar; Gujarat, for imbalanced and handicapped children and senior citizens for a long time now. He believes in education being one of the strongest foundations of one’s life and has done a lot for providing education to the slum children and centered around our slum rehabilitation projects.

• Preparation & guidance to SSC students of the slum
  
  In India for most students SSC exams is the first stepping stone of future Education and Dreams. Education is one of the strongest foundations of one’s life and so Terraform Realty builds this foundation for the less privileged slum children. For their smiles we provide them with the basic necessities of education like bags, books, pencils, uniforms. We guide them so they can become strong enough to achieve all their Dreams.

Terraform Realty CSR team is proud that our initiative of Beauty Parlour classes has completed 3 successful classes of confident women.

  Terraform Realty understands that capital is needed for the expansion of one’s wings. Risks are needed to be taken and at that time faith and focus have to be undeterred. • Mobile training center
  
  In Jan 2010 a few enthusiastic teens wanted to learn more about mobile phone repairs. This proved that our small efforts of empowering our less privileged Community members, were working. We were the most happy that they had come to us without any hesitation and we too showed them none. Terraform Realty CSR team arranged for a Mobile Sales Training at a government office.

  Terraform Realty believes in expansion of the business whenever possible. And so did some of the local women near our sites. Both the parties being sharing the same enthusiasm for self growth, we helped them set up Hair dressing coaching classes; an ongoing initiative. Two successfully completed batches of women got an option for alternate income.

• Maha Haldi Kum-kum ceremony
  
  A 4 day event where 2000 local Maharashtrian women celeberated Makar Sankranti. Various community related activities were organized by Terraform Realty providing platform to showcase their talents, instill confidence & give a boost to their social status.
  Day 1: Antakshari competition & Ukhana or Riddle competition
  Day 2: General Knowledge quiz & Candle lighting competition
  Day 3: Musical chair competition, Cooking competition & Solo Dance competition (Boys / Girls)
  Day 4: Rangoli Competition, Haldi Kum-Kum ceremony, Bhajan & Dance competition for the Eunuch community.
  This event was very well accepted by the local women & created goodwill for Terraform Realty as "people's developer." Nearly 2000 women started opening up their mindset. This event was also attended by the women of the Shah Family who own the Terraform Realty Business showing humility to the residents of the Wadala slum residents & giving boost to their morale.

• Sewing Training Classes
  
  An on-going initiative by Terraform Realty to teach housewives, college girls & career oriented women in the Wadala slum to acquire skill in stitching clothes like Punjabi dresses, frocks, sarees, etc under the guidance of Ms Shefali Shinde. This 2 hour class doesn't only give the students an opportunity to learn but also helps them unwind their pressures of the day by meeting & sharing their issues with each other in a local transit camp.
  Terraform Realty has been successful in completing 4 batches till date benefitting more than 60 women. These women have taken stitching as a profession and have also found a way to an alternate income. This has given them a sense of pride & purchasing power which was otherwise defunct. The current sewing classes have already occupied 5 women and nearly 20 forms for consideration.

• Monthly Meeting
  
  Terraform Realty conducts monthly meeting for women across 42 local mandals to understand their requirements. Sewing classes, haircutting workshops & kum-kum haldi ceremony are the outcome of these monthly meetings.
• Eye check-up & specs distribution camp
  
  Terraform Realty organized a one day eye checkup & specs distribution camp for residents of Wadala slum as part of our CSR initiatives. Distributing more than 600 spectacles to the needy & checking more than 1500 individuals across age groups & castes, this initiative has been accepted very well by the slum habitants. This initiative has benefitted kids who learnt about their eye defects at an early stage. The older groups of people were provided with free eye drops & other necessary medications.
  Terraform Realty also intends to announce this camp on a yearly basis.

• Health check-up camps
  
  Terraform Realty employs a dedicated team of 6 Doctors who conduct health checkup camps on half yearly basis for slum habitants in wadala. The need for this general health check-up camps arise from atrocious conditions during rains, over flowing gutters, garbage dumps & other hygiene issues surrounding the locality. Initially, the habitants started ignoring these conditions and this resulted in severe outspread of flu and other water borne diseases amongst them.
  Terraform Realty initiated these camps and provided people with free medication with prescription. Free Hygiene tips sheet were also distributed in Hindi, English & Marathi to educate people about basic hygiene. Hygiene awareness posters were distributed to alert people about the consequences of lack of personal hygiene. Regular follow-ups and concern calls were made to make sure they were in good health. The effect of such an activity was so large that people started implementing the tips on a personal level and started promoting it too. The segment of daily wage earners who fell sick on a regular basis, started getting fitter by the day & became regular at work too.

• Arthritis Camp
  
  A local political party wanted to issue senior citizen cards, the Terraform Realty CSR team reached out to more than 250 senior citizens across 42 mandals in the locality which helped them realize the need of an arthritis camp. More than 200 people benefitted from this camp including pregnant women, over weight individuals & the old aged. A list of Do's and Don'ts was given to people who attended this camp. After the camp' nearly 50% of the people who got the checkup done realized they had an Arthritis problem. People started their treatments at Sion hospital & private clinics at concessional rates.

• World Aids Day Celebration
  
  Terraform Realty in association with Mumbai District Aids Control Society (MDACS) celebrates the World Aids Day by spreading awareness on the HIV infection and AIDS. Onlookers, staff, laborers and localities are informed about the causes & consequences of the infection. Correct guidance is also given to people who had misconception about AIDS.
